NICK DONOVAN JOINS SOCIUM FUND SERVICES AS GENERAL COUNSEL

Socium bolsters leadership team with key hire

Socium Fund Services, a Suntera Global company (“Socium”), is pleased to announce the addition of Nick Donovan as General Counsel for the Americas. This key hire further strengthens Socium’s leadership team and solidifies the firm’s commitment to providing investment management firms with institutional-grade fund solutions.

In this highly strategic role, Nick will oversee the firm’s legal and compliance functions in North America and provide legal perspective and advice to the senior management team on a wide variety of regulatory, compliance and strategic issues.

“This role is a critical one for our firm, and we have been highly selective in finding the right talent and fit for our organization,” said Michael Von Bevern, Co-Managing Director, Americas. “Nick brings to Socium a unique combination of both legal asset management and fund administration experience, deep financial acumen and fund structuring expertise that will complement our highly experienced leadership team and support future growth.”

Nick has over a decade of experience as an attorney in the alternative investments industry. Most recently, Nick served as General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and Director for Crescat Capital LLC, a global macro asset management firm where he advised on all legal and regulatory matters for the company. Prior to his time with Crescat Capital, Nick served as Senior Product Counsel for Zayo Group, LLC and also as Senior Counsel, Director, and VP for U.S. Bank Global Fund Services LLC’s alternative investments and global strategy divisions.

“I am thrilled to join Socium at this pivotal time for the company,” said Nick. “Socium’s strategic focus and expanded breadth of fund solutions, now as part of Suntera Global, presents an exciting opportunity. I look forward to working alongside the talented team to drive the business forward.”

Nick holds a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and a B.A. from the University of Minnesota.
